YSE Beauty is committed to making yisebeauty.com usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, rely on magnification, or need reduced motion.

Our goal

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This is the standard we hold new work to, and the standard we are measuring our existing site against.

We are being deliberate about the language here: this is a statement of ongoing effort, not a claim that every page already meets every criterion. Where we know we fall short, we say so below.

What we have done

We are partway through a structured review of the storefront, working through it page by page and criterion by criterion. So far that work has included:

• Keyboard access to navigation, product pages, filtering, the cart, and checkout, including visible focus indicators and skip links
• Correct roles, names, and states for menus, dialogs, disclosures, carousels, and form controls, so assistive technology announces them properly
• Status messages that announce cart and form changes without moving focus
• Alternative text for meaningful images, and captions for video that carries spoken content
• Support for text resizing, 320-pixel reflow, and reduced-motion preferences

Known limitations

Some features on this site are provided by third-party vendors — including our rewards programme, product reviews, embedded video, live chat, and other embedded tools. We do not control the code those services put on the page and cannot guarantee their accessibility. We ask vendors to meet accessibility standards, raise problems we find with them, and track their responses — but we cannot always fix issues in code we don’t own.

Email accessibility@yisebeauty.com and tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. That detail helps us reproduce the problem and fix it properly.
